What if 2001, the dramatic and somber film about the future of mankind was a summer blockbuster made in 2012? What would the trailer be like? Exciting music? Check. Quick cuts? Check. Random shots? Check.
Fasten Your Seatbelts is not a line I would associate with that movie! 2001 was very unique. Remaking would destroy the essence of the film, like the remake of Clash of the Titans scrapping what made the first film good – its innocence.

Trailers have come so far in the last 20 years ago. I mean if you watch some of the old ones for Star Wars and such they were crap.

I think that trailer exaggerates the trend a little, but boy does it make the movie look different! Now, folks, imagine if you will Star Trek: The Motion Picture getting the same treatment!

I love these redone trailers – which is not to say I don't love the original trailers – which are fantastic – I'm looking at you when I say that, Pat D – it is interesting to see these talented editors take the old movies and give them a 21st century trailer feel.
Oh, and I have bestowed an award on your fun blog!
