This week’s links feature a shirtless Cyclops. Which 1970s television show is getting a reboot? When will we see the first trailer for Man of Steel? How many “Beauty and the Beast” films and TV shows are coming? What’s a spider goat? What surprising superhero did a goofy PSA for environmentalism?
On February 11, 2012 we lost a great performer in Whitney Houston. We don’t know how she died, but we know how she lived. She had two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, and 22 American Music Awards. An amazing total of 415 awards in her lifetime. I tried to think of a science-fiction angle, but couldn’t come up with anything. I’m kind of glad. Happy trails Whitney Houston. We will always love you.
Enjoy this week’s links and I’d love to hear your thoughts on them. Also, do you have any favorite Whitney Houston memories?

3. Trivia Answer
Jim Carrey broke 250 canes. He went through hundreds of canes doing his Riddler shtick. Carrey would accidentally break them in two, snap them over his shoulder, and take chunks out of the ceiling with the question mark-shaped prop. He destroyed virtually every piece of furniture in his trailer.

You have a great sci-fi blog. It's almost as good as i09 or Blastr I think. You need to start going to trade shows though so you can get the news faster than Blastr and i09. That would be really cool.
Thanks Michael. Thats high praise. We're working on expanding our web presence, so we'll see what happens!
Jim Carrey is hard on canes! Don't know why they'd want to redo the Beauty and the Beast show. And while Chronicle was good, I've had my fill of the found footage movies.
Still haven't seen Chronicle. Your review of the film was motivating though. Two votes against "found footage."
