Women Geeks Love: Rosario Dawson [Babes]

This week, we pay tribute to another beautiful actress who’s captured the hearts of geeks everywhere, Rosario Dawson.

Dawson was born on May 9, 1979 in New York City. She owes her exotic looks to her multi-racial background with a Puerto Rican/Cuban mother and an Irish father. Dawson’s acting career started with a cliche – she was spotted sitting on her front porch at the age of sixteen, and was literally asked if she wanted to be in a movie. That movie ended up the controversial Kids (1995). It wasn’t until 2002 that she entered the geek radar with her role as Laura Vasquez in Men in Black II. She followed it up with more geek favorites, Sin City (2005), Eagle Eye(2008), and The Lightning Thief (2010). In 2008, Dawson executive produced and starred in the web-only series Gemini Division. In her personal life, Dawson fired up the geeks when she admitted that she’s a big Star Trek fan.
