The Spaceship Dream Team is Complete Ready to Fly in Ship [Poll]

The final part of our spaceship “dream team” is complete and it is the ship: Star Trek’s USS Enterprise (NCC-1701)!

This is a good choice since it’s large, has a good complement of weapons and it’s warp drive will allow them to travel anywhere in the universe.

The results of the poll can be found here.

Since February we’ve been asking you, the readers, who you’d draft in your ultimate spaceship crew. A dream team. You’ve made some spectacular choices. Some controversial. Others familiar. Overall, it’s a crew any science-fiction fan would love to be a part of.

Captain Han Solo from Star Wars

First Officer Spock from Star Trek

Engineer  Kaywinnit Lee “Kaylee” Frye from Firefly

    Pilot “Rommie” from Andromeda

Doctor Leonard “Bones” McCoy from Star Trek

Science Officer Data from Star Trek

Weapons Officer Jayne Cobb from Firefly

Communications Officer Inarra Sera from Firefly

For those that are into that sort of thing, here are some stats.

    • The majority of the crew is made up of Star Trek and Firefly members. Only one team member is from Star Wars.
    • The team is almost split 5050 (62%) between men and women.
    • There were a total of 450 votes in the poll.
    • The poll with the highest number of votes was the weapons officer.

We’ve gotten some amazing feedback on our choices. One reader that deserves special attention is Rick Foley. He would follow every week and remind us when our choices were off. He voted diligently and even made suggestions. Thanks Rick!

Stay tuned for an upcoming original story featuring the spaceship “dream team” crew and all the entries in the poll!

Are you ready to fly with our Spaceship “Dream Team?” Is there someone you would have chosen instead of these?

I've written a list of my favourite top ten spaceships here and in a similar project I'm working my way through Top Ten lists of the crew.

Some of my choices would be pretty different. But interesting results nonetheless.

      Interesting indeed Tony. Worthwhile votes
