One of the best ways to properly enjoy the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is to see each Marvel film, television show, and short film in release order. How long would it take to watch the entire MCU catalog? One week, three days, and 15 minutes. Expect that to grow because Marvel Studios may not slow down anytime soon.

Aside from the satisfaction of accomplishing this achievement, you will get to witness one of the most complex, compelling, and moving stories in movie history. Unless you want to buy every Marvel movie on DVD or get an Amazon Prime subscription, you will need a Disney Plus subscription to see them all. I’ll post it shortly if you’d rather watch them in chronological order. But be warned, watching it that way is confusing for the first time.

Use this guide to view Marvel Phase 1 through Marvel Phase 5 to see the films in their original order. To facilitate reading, the list is broken down into phases.

Note: This list does not include any Marvel projects not directly connected to the Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios has excluded ABC series like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and spinoffs. They also revealed that the short film Team Thor and the sequels are not canon.

However, Nick Fury opposes his release, leading to the agents sending Tony Stark to sabotage the meeting. Stark annoys Ross, leading to the Abomination’s imprisonment.

7. Marvel Studios’ One-Shot: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer (2011)

Phil Coulson makes a stop at a gas station en route to Albuquerque, New Mexico, before the events shown in Thor. Two robbers break into the station while Coulson is shopping for snacks in the rear and demand the money from the register. Coulson shows up, hands over his keys, and agrees to give over his pistol when the robbers inquire whose automobile is outside. In a matter of seconds, Coulson subdues both criminals by diverting their attention. After that, he casually pays for his snacks and tells the clerk not to tell the police about his role.

A down-on-their-luck couple named Bennie and Claire discover an alien Chitauri gun (“Item 47”) that was abandoned during the attack on New York City in The Avengers. After the couple uses it to rob several banks, S.H.I.E.L.D. becomes alerted and dispatches agents Sitwell and Blake to find the weapon and “neutralize” the duo. Agent Sitwell follows the pair to a motel room, where the couple gets into a fight and the room is trashed, along with the stolen money. Rather than murdering the pair, Sitwell extends an invitation for them to become part of S.H.I.E.L.D., where Claire accepts the role of Blake’s assistant and Bennie is assigned to the R&D “think tank” to reverse engineer the Chitauri technology. September 25, 2012, saw the release of “Item 47” on The Avengers Blu-ray.

Marvel and Netflix revealed on April 21, 2015, that the show had been renewed for a second season. Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez, who had both worked closely with DeKnight and series creator Drew Goddard as writers in the first season, had taken DeKnight’s place as showrunners and executive producers. Due to Netflix’s practice of starting the next episode during the credits of the previous one, DeKnight and the writers were unable to introduce Frank Castle/Punisher in a post-credits sequence during the first-season finale. According to DeKnight, this “was the proper choice. I believe there’s a more fitting, natural approach to present him to the world.” Within the company, Ramirez called the second season “Daredevil vs. the Punisher”. Goddard clarified in September 2015 that he continued to be an executive producer for the season, meeting with Petrie and Ramirez as needed. There are thirteen one-hour episodes in the season.

Based on Marvel Comics, The Marvels is a superhero movie released in 2023. It is the 33rd movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the follow-up to the 2019 film Captain Marvel, and a continuation of the television miniseries Ms. Marvel (2022). It was produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Nia DaCosta, who co-wrote the screenplay with Megan McDonnell and Elissa Karasik, directed the movie. Captain Marvel, real name Carol Danvers, has sought retribution from the Supreme Intelligence and recovered her identity from the despotic Kree. However, as a result of unforeseen events, Carol is left to bear the weight of an unstable cosmos. Her powers become intermingled with those of Jersey City superfan Kamala Khan, or Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau, when her responsibilities take her to an anomalous wormhole connected to a Kree revolutionary. After starting to switch places with each other each time they utilize their talents, Danvers, Rambeau, and Khan eventually form a team.

Featuring an amazing voice cast that includes several celebrities reprising their legendary roles, the series explores, reimagines, and challenges iconic Marvel Cinematic moments. Episodes, which this season include fan favorites including Nebula, Hela, and Happy Hogan, are helmed by executive producer Bryan Andrews, with executive producer AC Bradley serving as lead writer. Jeffrey Wright returns as the voice of The Watcher, one of the highly advanced races of cosmic beings who have vowed only to watch and never to interfere.

It’s the eighth television show in Marvel Studios’ Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), continuing from the films in the franchise and serving as a spin-off of Hawkeye (2021). In it, Maya Lopez (Cox) goes back to her hometown, where she has to accept her history, reestablish her Native American ancestry, and embrace her community and family. Sydney Freeland is in charge of the directing group, and Dayre and Amy Rardin are the main writers. It’s also the first in Marvel’s new Spotlight
